As promised, this week’s instalment is a wrap up on the different Japanese vehicle manufacturers out there and an overview of the benefits their particular models offer.

Here at Dodson’s we always recommend choosing Japanese when deciding on your new vehicle but determining which Japanese make isn’t always the easiest thing. Luckily for you we have summarised some of the major contenders so you can make an educated decision.

Our overview awaits.

Honda

Covering the likes of Toyota and Nissan last time around, it is only fitting that this week we discuss the ever-present make that is Honda.

Started in 1946, this car maker originally started out solely as a motorcycle engine producer only to become one of the most universally renowned automobile manufacturers in the current day.

This rise to success and the status Honda holds is largely down to the reliability and safety levels that have become synonymous with their brand. Providing everyday, ever popular models such as the Accord, Civic and CR-V, Honda has covered their bases providing affordable options for all; fulfilling all types of needs. From SUV’s to hatchbacks, sedans and even their sportier VTEC models – Honda has you covered no matter what your requirements may be.

Suzuki

Just like Honda, Suzuki is more commonly know for it’s bikes, even if it does provide some of the most reliable and affordable cars on the road.

Most popularly known when it comes to cars for their work on the Suzuki Swift (which recently even surpassed the famous corolla in the hatchback market) and its advancement in recent years, Suzuki also offer a range of other affordable and reputable vehicles designed to fit the needs of everyone from soccer Mums to delivery drivers, those looking for their first car and more.

Mitsubishi

Another important automobile manufacturer originating out of Japan is Mitsubishi.

Originally formed in 1970, Mitsubishi has become best known for the work they’ve carried out on the Lancer Evolution range and in particular the racing capabilities of these models. They have also created more standards makes such as the ever common Galant and Pajero which are both considered some of the finest, most reliable sedans and SUVs around – the Pajero even rivalling Toyota’s Land Cruiser and Nissan’s Patrol for the world’s most acclaimed SUV!

From Toyota to Mazda, Mitsubishi, Suzuki, Nissan and Honda, hopefully these past couple entries have helped provide you with some insight into your favourite Japanese manufacturers and what makes them tick.

We look forward to servicing any model you should so choose and please be sure to keep in mind that we are your Auckland-based Japanese parts specialists.
